Abstract

Chlorophyta microalgae is a autotrophic microalgae which can use (NH2)2CO dan NH3-N as nitrogen source and carbon dioxide as carbon source. It contains oil until 77%, so it’s very useful to be biodiesel as alternative energy source. The goals of this researsch are to get optimal activated microalgae process for the waste of urea fertilizer factory which resists to high ammonia and to know optimal condition of degradation rate of (NH2)2CO and NH3-N on the concentration of microalgae, N:P ratio, and dwell time. The design of this research is regulating NH3’s concentration (60, 80, 100, 200,300 ppm). The parameters are reduction of OD value, NH3 concentration, and MLSS value which show the maximum line of microalgae growth. Based on the research, the average microalgae growth gets the stationary phaseon the sixth day, the highest biomass is 1,5 gram/liter on the fifth day from 300 ppm variable, the highest NH3 reduction is 98,24% from 80 ppm variable, and the highest specificgrowth rate of microalgae is 0,028 h-1of cultivated microlage in 300 ppm nutrient.
