Abstract
Frying oil is one of human primary necessary which functioned as food cooking medium. But, if applied repeatedly, therefore will be consist of destruction process or damage which caused by oxidation process and hot temperature. Sign of this damaged there are acridquality and increase of the FFA grades of this used frying oil. This research aims to reduce the FFA (Free Fatty Acid) grades of used frying oil and determine optimum operation condition of operation variables which used (operation temperature, adsorbent comparison, and operation time). The result of initial research indicates that activated carbon concentration and operation time is variable having an effect. Optimum condition (good relative condition) obtained at concentration of activated carbon 50% of weight of adsorbent and operation time 40 minute, with achievement of acid number 0,785 and water content 0.4 %.
