Abstract

Rule Operation is a something principal in Dam’s management. Menjer as Reservoir Research Object has Elevation-Wide-Volume Operating System. Now the rule of operation was needed to examined about its workability, is the rule still have its maximum work or became low one. Today developed a method using fuzzy logic operations. One of Fuzzy logic advantages is the ability to generate an output based on imprecise Fuzzy decision input. In this research, the authors intend to conduct a study of Menjer Reservoir operation rule using the Fuzzy Logic method. Furthermore, it is also necessary to analyze the performance of existing rule operatiion and the possibility of applying fuzzy logic method for simulating the reservoir operation The purpose of research is to determine how much of reservoir capacity to meet Menjer hydropower water needs which can be determined by analyzing the performance of the dam, developed Menjer reservoir operation rule by applying Fuzzy toolbox Matlab and simulate Menjer Reservoir Operation using Fuzzy Logic. Stage of the process is to establish a fuzzy logic input and output membership functions, determine the rules of Fuzzy (Fuzzy Rule), Fuzzification (changing the value of the real numbers / crisp into abstract numbers (a little, a lot) and then is defuzzification process (change fuzzy values to crisp numbers). Data inflow and elevation used as input to the fuzzy logic system, while the resulting output is Outflow to be compared with the actual Results of output then will be analyzed of reliability performance, resilience and vulnerability. Reservoir Operation Simulation results with fuzzy logic has perform 90.83% of reliability, 200% of resilience, and 3.33% of vulnerability. This means that the reservoir has a capacity of 90.83% to meet the targeted needs (demand). Meanwhile, the actual reservoir performance generated 86.67% of reliability, 138% of resilience and 4.96 % of vulnerability. The rule of operation using Fuzzy logic is can it produce better meet the needs (demand) users. In addition, Fuzzy Logic outflows calculation was appear to have the same order with the actual outflow, giving even better results through analysis of reliability.
