Abstract

There are some methods in the social literature to estimate the level of poverty. Poverty is a latent and still a big problem in many developing countries. Many theories, concept and approaches have been developed and are being developed to find to most suitable way in decribing and estimating poverty. It is not an easy task since understanding and definitions of poverty should considerate various aspects. It is hoped that better understanding on this matter can help alleviate poverty accutely suffered by many Indonesians.
