Abstract
Samuel Backett is a French writer famous for his ”En Ettendant Godot”, a play which has been translated in various languages and which has led Beckett to receive a nobel price in 1959. Even though this play is very famous all over the world, the structure and the plot are difficult to understand. This writing is aimed to analize the structure of the play by using a semiotic–structural approach. The analysis shows that the characters, setting and plot of the play relate to a new convention which has now been accpepted and classified as a literary genre.
