Abstract
Unequal economic growth between rural and urban areas, create employment in the countryside to commuter. The rapid urban development, leading to large income disparities and economic inequality between rural and urban areas so as to encourage workers who live in the village to commuter to get jobs and higher wages in urban areas. The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of the variables marital status, age, education level and wages of labor's decision to commuters. This study used primary data through interviews with the respondents that as many as 100 samples (n = 100). Diasmping that used secondary data, namely data from the agencies - the relevant agencies as well as some of the literature. The research was conducted at the Kendal district, while the analysis used in this study is binary logistic regression models. Results from binary logistic regression model analysis in this study suggests that the two variables of the four independent variables studied significantly influence the decision to commuter workforce. Significant variables that influence the decision to commuter labor is a variable life and variable pay, while the variables are not significant influence on the decision to commuter labor is marital status and education level. Overall binary logistic regression models used to explain the decision to commuter labor and factors - factors that influence it in the District of Kendal and have reliability in predicting by 75 percent. The figure is at once explained that the behavior of the respondents in this study tend to keep doing the commuter. While the main reason people do commuter Kendal district is the economic factors that meet basic needs and to earn more income.
