Abstract
High Pressure Sodium Lamp is one of the high pressure discharge lamp that is efficiently used in lighting and commonly used for outdoor like street lighting. To switch on this lamp, we need additional tool called ballast. Electronic Ballast is one kind of ballast that popular recently. It is much simpler but it also has a very huge harmonic current that makes the power factor low as a weakness. For that reason, we need harmonic filter. Usage of harmonic filter could solve the problem above. In this final assignment, active harmonic filter that the dimmer could be controlled was made using IC TDA 4863-2G put in electronic ballast electronic inverter half bridge Zero Voltage Switching (ZVS). Harmonic filter prototype could decrease THD current until 17.6% and power factor to 0.973 when the light is 150 watt. Meanwhile, when the light is only 130 Watt, it could decrease THD current around 22,0% with power factor 0.958. kata kunci : ballast electronic, filter harmonisa , Power Factor
