The Growth of power plant increased along with the rising of electrical energy demand. Sources of energy used to generate electricity is still dominated by fossil fuels. Fossil fuels are non-renewable and enviromentally unfriendly energy sources. Municipal wastes are energy sources with huge potention to replaces fossil fuels. In this final project will be created potency studies of waste power plant located in Banjarmasin. Potency studies based on the amount of waste that contained in TPA Basirih. The parameters that used in feasibility analisis are Benefit Cost Ratio (BCR) and Internal Rate of Return (IRR). Research results showed TPA Basirih has the potential of Landfill Gas (LFG) production of 8.176.975 m3 per year. The electrical energy sold to PT PLN (Persero) of 11.956.766 kWh. Based on calculation obtained the cost of the investment required to realize the waste power plant in TPA Basirih of Rp. 36.049.645.664, -. Net Present Value (NPV) = Rp. 11.852.966.356,-, Pay Back Period (PBP) = 3,4 years, Break Event Point (BEP) = 9,72 year , Benefit Cost Ratio (BCR) = 1,11, and Internal Rate of Return (IRR) ) = 8,47%.
