KLASIFIKASI ABC DAN KEBIJAKAN PEMESANAN MULTI-ITEM

Abstract

Inventory is a main problem for all company. Inventory consist of raw material and work in process material, and also final product that used to meet a demand from customer at any time. In this research, we focus on raw material inventory where each item have their own price and usage quantity. Furthermore material are categorized according to ABC Classification to determine which material that consume almost ±85% inventory budget. PT. LARS is a traditional and herbal medicine company in Indonesia. Some material has same supplier beyond Semarang, so they were bought together because the delivery price is expensive. The company will need inventory model for multi-item order. Using the basic model of EOQ, this model could reduce order frequency to minimize order cost and optimalize order quantity. From the inventory model above the company could get the new inventory policy about when, and how much the optimal order quantity. This policy could save inventory cost about Rp 5.107.887,00 and minimize order frequency from 12 times become 7 times order
