Abstract

As the time develop, and so does the human mobility, globalization era pushes the mixing of world people. Not as the exception: international public facility used by users with varied origins and backgrounds. To accommodate all of the facility users with varied sizes and extreme range of value between the down-percentile users and the up-percentile users, there is a need of size guidance, which in this case is table of data. Beside to increase the users’ fit feeling, the usage of table of data is expected to reduce the probability of injury, fatigue, and accident, also to increase the capacity of emergency situation handling, the product selling value, and its competitiveness. The research is focused in the arranging of table of anthropometric data for international public facility design and its example of application in rest facilities. The outline of the research is collecting anthropometric data of varied populations, arranging the table of anthropometric data for international public facility design, and designing the rest facilities according the table of data. The anthropometric data is collected from the existing literature source. The limitation and the uncompleteness of the data seem to make this research more difficult than it should. The data is compiled and added with other sources so that it become the table of anthropometric data which can be used as the guidance of size in design, along with the functions of the dimensions in designs, recommended allowance value according the considerations and the applications in designs. To know if the table is applicative or not, it will be applied in rest facilities design. The tools in this research are pugh analysis for selecting the dimensions and the data source which will be compiled in the table of data and also task analysis, used for specifying the activities of rest facilities usage. There are a lot of size differences between the design of this research and the existing product. The sizes which are always taken for granted by users, proved that they are not able to accommodate the majority of the users
