ANALISIS PENGARUH PERBEDAAN POSTUR TANGAN, UKURAN MOUSE DAN JENIS KELAMIN OPERATOR TERHADAP PERFORMANSI PADA PENGGUNAAN MOUSE KOMPUTER

Abstract

Mouse as one of computer input device that very helpful for human works, have an annoying risk for health, especially on arm. Primary factor that generate arm injury on mouse usage, beside duration, are mouse size and arm posture that used to held a mouse. This experiment aims to evaluate the effect of those factors on bad risk of localized arm fatigue and injury between man and woman. This experiment focuses on the bad risk evaluation of localized arm muscle fatigue and injury with undirect measurement by measuring arm movement performance. The performance values that measured were simple reaction time, movement time, tapping speed and index of performance of arm movement. From the 3-Way Anova Test result on experiment datas, it can be found that the single factor of operator’s sex significanly affected on movement time and index of performance value. In the other hand, single factors of mouse size and arm posture had a significant effects on whole kind of performance value that had been tested. This experiment obteined some conclussion that litle mouse size gives a bad performance, and the best mouse usage posture gave from fully supported lower arm
