Many researches of CAPP have been developed to make production system more responsive. The use of computer really important in developing Robotics. Computer-Aided Design (CAD), and Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM). CAD can be defined as computer application in designing, while CAM is computer application in manufacturing. CAD and CAM are separated elemens, so we need process planning to connect them. This research based on parametric fiture in developing CAPP an used SolidWorks 2008 as CAD software. CAPP that has been developed in this research is categorized as generative type. This system generated process planning and machining operation sequences for new components without process planner suggestions. The result of CAPP that has been developed is machining process plan with the sequence of machining operations involved. Operation sequence showed the way to transform raw material into desired product. This research used operation sequencing algorithm as a tool to make decisions. The algorithm gave machining operations sequence recommendation with minimum number of tool changes in order to reduce set up time, further reduce production lead time of a component
