Abstract
Flavonoids are substances derived from plants (herbs). Mahkota dewa is one plant that has a fairly high content of flavonoids, mahkota dewa has the scientific name Phaleria macrocarpa (scheff) Boerl. In this study emphasized on finding the right temperature for extracting mahkota dewa with the solvent methanol. This study consists of two stages. Phase I to extract flavonoids mahkota dewa using solvent methanol with a variable temperature (300C, 400C, 500C, 600C, dan 700C). Phase II is to test the flavonoids produced at various temperatures using a spectrophotometer. The results showed that the extract has a value of absorbance is directly proportional to temperature, and concentration of the obtained values are also getting bigger. Key words: flavonoids, mahkota dewa, the extraction
