Abstract

PERFORMAN KARKAS BURUNG PUYUH JANTAN AKIBAT PEMBERIAN LIMBAH DESTILASI MINUMAN BERAKOHOL (LDMB) DALAM RANSUM L.D. Mahfudz, Y. Ratnawati, E. Suprijatna dan W. Sarengat Fakultas Peternakan, Universitas Diponegoro ABSTRAK Penelitian ditujukan untuk mengetahui performans karkas burung puyuh jantan akibat pemberian limbah distilasi minuman beralkohol (LDMB) dalam ransom dilakukan di Laboratorium Ilmu Ternak Unggas Fakultas Peternakan UNDIP, pada Januri 2007. Materi yang digunakan adalah burung puyuh jantan umur 8 minggu sebanyak 120 ekor, dengan bobot badan 114,8 ± 0,26 g. Puyuh dipelihara dalam kandang batterai 60 x 30 x 30 cm3 per petak sebanyak 20 petak. Ransum disusun dari jagung kuning, dedak halus, bungkil kedelai, tepung ikan, top mix, tepung tulang dan (NaHCO3), dengan kandungan protein 20% dan energi metabolis 2985kkal/kg. Perlakuan yang diterapkan adalah T0 : ransum basal tanpa LDMB, T1 : ransum basal + LDMB 0,5 % , T2 : ransum basal + LDMB 2 %, T3 ransum basal + LDMB 1,5 %. dan T4 : ransum basal + LDMB 2 %. Parameter yang diamati adalah bobot badan akhir, bobot karkas, bobot non karkas dan persentase karkas. Digunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 4 kali ulangan dan setiap unit percobaan terdiri dari 6 ekor puyuh. Hasil peneliitian menunjukan rata-rata bobot badan akhir 107,025 gram, bobot karkas 59,06 gram, persentase karkas 55,16%, bobot nonb karkas 42,891 dan persentase non karkas 40,08%. Secara statistik LDMB tidak mempengaruhi semua perlakuan yang diterapkan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian adalah LDMB dapat diberikan pada rnsum puyuh sampai level 2%. Kata kunci: LDMB dalam ransumn, karkas, Burung Puyuh ABSTRACT A research was aimed to known carcass performans of male quail affected by alcohol distillery by-product (ADBP) in the diet. The research was done at Poultry Science Laboratory, Faculkty of Animal Science, Diponegoro University, on January 2007. The materi of this research are 120 male quail 8 weeks old with average body weight 114,8 ± 0,26 g. The animal was reared at battery cage on 20 pens of 60 x 30 x 30 cm3 per pen. The diet consist of yellow corn, rice polished, soybean cake, fish meal, top-mix and sodium carbonate (NaHCO3), with 20% CP and 2985kcal/kg diet. The treatment was T0 : diet without LDMB, T1 : diet + LDMB 0,5 % , T2 : diet + LDMB 2 %, T3 diet + LDMB 1,5 and T4 : diet + LDMB 2 %. The parameters was last body weght, carcass weigt, carcass percentage, non carcass weight and non carcass percentage. Completely randomized design was used with 5 treatments and 4 times replications, and each unit was 6 quails. The results of this reserach are body weight 107,025g, carcass weight 59.06g, carcass percentage 55.16%, non carcass weight 42,89g and non carcass percentage 40.08%. Statistically the treatments was not affected to all parameters. Conclusion of this research is ADBP can be used until 2% in the diet of male quail. Key words: ADBP in the ration, carcass, quail
