Abstract
Perencanaan struktur suatu konstruksi bangunan diperlukan untuk mendapatkan dimensi dan konfigurasi struktur yang paling efektif dan efisien. Demikian halnya dalam perencanaan struktur tower dibutuhkan suatu perencanan yang baik agar didapatkan struktur yang efektif dan efisien. Selama ini perencanaan struktur tower menggunakan metode ASD (Allowable Stress Design). Namun, ada metode LRFD (Load and Resistance Factor Design) yang diyakini menghasilkan struktur yang lebih ekonomis dari pada metode ASD pada perencanaan struktur yang lainnya, seperti gedung, jembatan, dll. Tugas akhir ini akan membandingkan perencanaan metode ASD dan LRFD yang bertujuan untuk mendapatkan metode yang lebih tepat dalam perencanaan tower. Berdasarkan perbandingan perencanaan kedua metode tersebut dihasilkan bahwa metode ASD menghasilkan dimensi penampang struktur yang lebih ekonomis daripada metode LRFD. Aspek yang paling berpengaruh pada perencanaan stuktur tower adalah aspek kemampuan layan struktur yang ditunjukkan dengan syarat simpangan lateral maksimal. Struktur yang direncanakan dengan metode LRFD mengalami simpangan yang lebih besar daripada metode ASD. Untuk memenuhi syarat tersebut maka dimensi pada struktur LRFD diperbesar. ABSTRACT The planning of construction of building structures is needed to gets the most efficient and effective dimension and sewer structures configuraton. According to the sentences above the planning of sewer structures of tower are also required a planning,which is good to be got efficient and effective sewer structures. Till now the planning of sewer structures tower applies the ASD method ( Allowable Stress Design). But, there is LRFD method ( Load and Resistance Factor Design) which believed yields sewer structures which more economic than the ASD one at planning of the other sewer structures, like building, bridge, etc. This final task will compare both of ASD and LRFD method to get the best method which more accurate in tower planning. Based on both planning comparison of the method, it is yielded that ASD method yields dimension sewer structures which more economic than LRFD methods. The most Aspect that is influences very much on tower planning structure is serviceability, which perform with a maximum lateral deflection condition. The structures planned with LRFD method are having a larger deviation than ASD method.To fulfill this requirement the dimension of the LRFD structures has to be enlarged.
