Abstract
Kebutuhan air baku dan air irigasi di Kabupaten Karanganyar semakin meningkat sejalan dengan pertumbuhan penduduk. Kebutuhan air baku di Kabupaten Karanganyar, Kecamatan Jatiyoso selama ini diperoleh dari air sumur dan untuk produksi pertanian/ perkebunan menggunakan pola tadah hujan. Untuk itu Pemerintah dalam hal ini Dinas Pengelolaan Sumber Daya (PSDA) berupaya mengembangkan sumber air baku baru dengan membangun embung. Sebagai suatu tampungan air dimusim hujan, embung juga dapat digunakan secara efisien dimusim kemarau. Selain sebagai sumber air baku untuk keperluan sehari-hari, sektor pertanian dan peternakan, embung juga menjadi alternatif penanggulangan banjir di daerah hilir sungai. Berdasarkan analisis studi, Embung Jlantah didesain dengan tipe embung urugan tanah homogen dengan kapasitas tampungan air sebesar 7.838.270,27 m³ pada elevasi 684 dpl. Kebutuhan air baku masyarakat di sekitar embung sebesar 0,7407 m³/det, hal ini dapat terpenuhi dengan dibangunnya embung tersebut. Volume tampungan air embung tersebut cukup untuk memenuhi kebutuhan air baku masyarakat di sekitar embung. Sedimentasi di daerah aliran sungai (DAS) termasuk dalam kategori sedang yaitu 681.588,72 m3, sehingga membuat umur efektif embung mencapai 10 tahun. Untuk memperpanjang umur efektif embung diperlukan penggelontoran yang berfungsi sebagai pengendali sedimen dan penanganan reboisasi (penghijauan) di sekitar daerah aliran sungai. Karanganyar Bertha - Rachmalia iv ABSTRACT The needs of water supply in Karanganyar Regency have increasing in line with the growt of population and urban development. Lately the standart water supply has carried out from ground water and for agriculture using fall rain, however its capacity had not yet answer the demand of entire regency population. Therefore, Government- in this case Departement of Water Resources Management (PSDA) – conducting effort to develop new standard water resources by building small Dam. As Storage of run-off water in rainy seasons, this small dam can also efficienly used in dry season. Besides as standard water resources for daily used, agriculture and farming, this small dam can alternatively overcoming floods in downstream area. Based on study and data obtained, the Jlantah small dam is designed in homogenous landfill small dam due to kind of soil around the small dam is lime stone, which is having water storage capacities as 7.838.270,27 m3 on elevation of 684 m above sea level. The need of standard water community around the small dam is 0.7407 m3/second, this demand can be fulfill by the small dam development. Water storage volume of the reservoir has been enough to fulfill the demand of standard water for surrounding community. Watershed sedimentation in catchment area included in small slope category that is 681.588,72 m3, this makes the effective life time of the reservoir can reaches 10 year. Therefore, it needs to build flushing structure to control the sediment and reforestation in watershed catchment area.
