Abstract
Back Ground; The nurses attitude in the physical examination is the nurses response include beliefs (cognition), feelings or emotions (affection) and the tendency to act (conation) nurses in the implementation of a physical examination. This attitude is influenced by many factors, one of the internal factors are individual characteristics. Methode; This study analyzed the correlation between biographical characteristics of nurses attitudes with nurses in a physical examination. This type of quantitative descriptive study with cross sectional approach. Study sample as many as 38 people, is obtained with a total sampling technique. The test statistic used Chi Square. Result ; Obtained 55.3% of respondents aged 30-39 years, 71.7% of respondents were female, 81.6% of respondents had last D3 Nursing education, 89.5% of respondents have employment status of civil servants, 89.5% of respondents have marital status married and 55.3% of respondents have a period of employment 1 -10 years. The overview of the respondents attitude 60.5% have an quite attitude in the physical examination. Correlation test result between age and the nurses attitude obtained χ2 1.246 and p value of 0.604. Correlation test results between gender and nurses attitude χ2 obtained for 1.472 and p value of 0.225. Marital status of the test results obtained with the attitude of χ2 0.392 and p value of 0.531. The test results obtained employment status with the attitude χ2 value of 2.916 and p value of 0.088. In conclusion there is no relationship between age, sex, marital status and employment status with the attitude of nurses in the physical examination. The test results obtained level of education with an attitude χ2 value of 7.679 and p value of 0.006. The test results obtained during the work with an attitude χ2 value of 9.306 and p value of 0.007. In conclusion there is a significant correlation between education level and years of service with the attitude of nurses in the physical examination.
