HUBUNGAN ANTARA PENGETAHUAN DAN SIKAP IBU TERHADAP PERILAKU PEMBERIAN MAKANAN PENDAMPING ASI PADA BALITA 6-24 BULAN

Abstract

Background: The problem of this study is there any correlation between knowledge and mother attitude with the behavior pattern of giving supplement food of ASI (MP-ASI) to children under five years in the age 6-24 month in puskesmas Manyaran, Semarang regency in the year of 2011. The objective of the study is to know the correlation between knowledge and mother’s attitude with behavior patter of giving supplement food of ASI to children under five years in the age 6-24 month. Metode: this research is diskriptif analitik with cross sectional approach, population of this study was all mother which have children under five year in puskesmas Manyaran (401). Sampling technique used was purposive sampling 40 mother are taken as the sample which obtained by using simple random technique. The instrument used in the research is quisioner contain about knowledge, attitude and behavior patter of giving supplement food of ASI. The data obtained is analyzed using chi-square statistical test with significane level of (( = 5%) = 0,05 Result: The result of research showed that there is any significant correlation between knowledge with with the behavior pattern of giving supplement food of ASI, the value obtained rhitung = 0,578. The relation between mother attitude with the behavior pattern of giving supplement food of ASI (MP-ASI), the value obtained rhitung = 0,612. The relation knowledge and mother attitude with the behavior pattern of giving supplement food of ASI (MP-ASI), the value obtained rhitung = 0,701. Conclusion: Mother’s knowledge is correlated with the behavior pattern of giving supplement food of ASI (MP-ASI) to children under five years in the age 6-24 month. Mother attitude is correlated with the behavior pattern of giving supplement food of ASI (MP-ASI) to children under five years in the age 6-24 month. Mother’s knowledge and mother attitude is correlated with the behavior pattern of giving supplement food of ASI (MP-ASI) to children under five years in the age 6-24 month.
