ANALISIS DAYA SAING KLASTER INDUSTRI MEBEL ROTAN DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN MODEL DIAMOND PORTER

Abstract

Abstrak Klaster merupakan konsentrasi geografis perusahaan dan institusi yang saling berhubungan pada sektor tertentu. Mereka berhubungan karena kebersamaan dan saling melengkapi (Porter,1998). Terdapat persaingan yang kuat dalam hal memperebutkan loyalitas konsumen. Persaingan kompetitif terjadi pada saat dua atau lebih pengrajin bersaing satu dengan lainnya dalam mengejar posisi pasar yang menguntungkan. Dalam menghadapi perkembangan yang semakin pesat dengan tingkat persaingan antar negarapun semakin ketat, maka pengrajin rotan Trangsan harus lebih menumbuhkan minat wirausaha dan inovasi. Penelitian inipun bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor – faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap daya saing klaster mebel rotan Trangsan. Model Diamond Porter digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor keberhasilan dan kegagalan dari yang dimiliki klaster industri mebel rotan ini. Atribut yang dipakai antara lain faktor kondisi; kondisi permintaan; industri terkait dan pendukung; strategi perusahaan, struktur, dan persaingan; dan peran pemerintah. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 62 pengrajin. Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Partial Least Square dengan pendekatan second order. Analisis data PLS dengan pendekatan second order dilakukan untuk menjelaskan secara menyeluruh hubungan antar variabel yang ada dalam penelitian dimana dalam variabel terdiri dari multidimensi. Dengan menggunakan software SmartPLS hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa kondisi permintaan, industri terkait dan pendukung, dan pemerintah mempunyai pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap daya saing, sedangkan faktor kondisi dan strategi perusahaan struktur dan persaingan tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap daya saing. Abstract Clusters are geographic concentrations of companies and institutions that are interconnected in a particular sector. They are related because of togetherness and complement each other (Porter, 1998). There is strong competition in terms of gaining customer loyalty. Competitive rivalry occurs when two or more artisans to compete with one another in pursuit of a favorable market position. In the face of rapid development with the level of competition between countries even more stringent,, it Trangsan rattan craftsmen have more growing interest in entrepreneurship and innovation. Even this research aims to identify factors - factors that influence competitiveness cluster Trangsan rattan furniture. Porter's Diamond model is used to identify factors of success and failure of cluster owned this rattan furniture industry. Attribute that is used among other factors condition; conditions demand; related and supporting industries; corporate strategy, structure, and rivalry, and the role of government. The sample used by 62 artisans. The method of analysis used in this study is Partial Least Square with the second order approach. PLS data analysis with second order approach is to explain thoroughly the relationship between variables that exist in the study which consists of a multidimensional variable. By using software SmartPLS test results show that demand conditions, related and supporting industries, and the government have a significant impact on competitiveness, while the factor conditions and firm strategy structure and rivalry does not significantly influence competitiveness.
