SUMBER INFORMASI YANG MEMPENGARUHI KEPUTUSAN MENJADI AKSEPTOR KB WANITA (Studi kasus di Kelurahan Bandarharjo Semarang

Abstract

Background : Since the National Family Planning Program handed over his business to some regional governments, implementation of the national family planning entered a new phase of decentralization / regional autonomy. However, in the early era of decentralization was the political support of the National Family Planning Program began to loosen. Condition of field workers in the era of decentralization both the quality and quantity tends to decrease. Field staff of 4528 people in 2003, has dropped to 3428 or almost 25% in 2007. This study aims to determine the sources of information affecting the decision to become family planning acceptors. Methods : This research was an analytic observational research applying cross sectional design. The sample criteria were acceptor of KB female in Kelurahan Bandarharjo Semarang which still active using KB. The total member of sampel were 32 respondens with technique of sampel using purposive sampel. Results : In this research, we found that respondens got information concerning KB of television equal to 87,5%.getting information of PKK equal to 56,3% and getting information of cadre equal to 62,5%, while getting information of midwife equal to 46,9%. There are no difference having a meaning of between frequency access information media (p=0,823), organizational type / institute (p=0,804) with decission to using KB. There is difference having a meaning of between frquency attend PKK with decision to using KB (p=0,026). Conclusion : Type of organization PKK role in providing information and influencing the decision to become family planning acceptors.
