Abstract

ABSTRAK Web Teknik Industri Universitas Diponegoro merupakan salah satu web program studi yang terdapat di Universitas Diponegoro. Web ini telah beroperasi sejak tahun 2008 dengan alamat http://industri.ft.undip.ac.id dan pada tahun 2009 dirancang ulang menggunakan engine WordPress 2.7. Namun seiring beroperasinya website, ditemukan beberapa permasalah yang berhubungan dengan usabilitas. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang ulang web yang dapat memenuhi tujuan dan kebutuhan stakeholder (organisasi dan pengguna), serta meningkatkan tingkat usabilitas web TI Undip. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pendekatan User Centered Design dengan menggunakan tahapan Metode TRUMP (Trial Usability Maturity Process). Pengukuran tingkat usabilitas dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner WEBUSE (Website Usability Evaluation Tool). Hasil perancangan ulang web TI Undip menghasilkan peningkatan pada efektivitas, efisiensi, dan kepuasan pengguna. Peningkatan juga terjadi pada empat kategori usabilitas yang meliputi (1) konten, pengorganisasian, dan kemampubacaan, (2) navigasi dan link, (3) desain antarmuka pengguna, dan (4) performansi dan efektivitas. ABSTRACT Website of Industrial Engineering is one of the department websites that are in Diponegoro University. This website has been operating since 2008 with address in http://industri.ft.undip.ac.id, and in 2009 was redesigned using WordPress 2.7 engine. But as the operation of the website, there are some problems related to usability. Based on these problems, this research aims to redesign website of Industrial Engineering Department, so that can meet the goals and needs of stakeholders (organizations and users), and increasing the level of usability .This research was conducted with User Centered Design approach and using the steps of TRUMP (Trial Usability Maturity Process) Method. The level of usability is measured by using WEBUSE (Website Usability Evaluation Tool) questionnaires. The redesign of website of Industial Engineering Department resulted improvement in effectiveness, efficiency and user satisfaction. The improvement also occurred in four usability categories including (1) content, organization, and readability, (2) navigation and links, (3) user interface design, and (4) performance and effectiveness.
