Abstract
Abstract Ceper Manufacturing Polytechnic (Polman) is one university participating in Ceper’s foundry industry cluster. Polman directly and indirectly has done transfer of technology to cluster of foundry industry. To know how effective transfer of technology was realized research must be conducted so that technology transfer will more successfully done. This research attempts to identify factors affecting technology transfer success between Polman and foundry industry cluster in Ceper. Moreover, also it is researching the effects of technology transfer effectiveness from the industry view to SMEs’ performance. This study is using Polman and Polman’s industrial partners as research object. The effectiveness of technology transfer is influenced hypothetically by environment, motivation, technology transfer learning capability and collaboration. This research uses Structural Equation Model (SEM) as a tool to verify the model and to analyze factors affecting technology transfer success. As the population used in this research is relatively small, so the Partial Least Square (PLS) method is employed. The results indicated that the effectiveness technology transfer is influenced by environment, collaboration and technology transfer learning ability. Meanwhile, there is relationship between technology transfer effectiveness and SMEs performance. Abstrak Institusi pendidikan merupakan aktor penting dalam klaster. Politeknik Manufaktur Ceper (Polman) merupakan aktor institusi pendidikan di dalam klaster industri pengecoran logam Ceper. Sebagai aktor institusi pendidikan, Polman memiliki beberapa peran, diantaranya memberi bantuan teknis kepada industri dan fasilitator pelatihan maupun program yang diselenggarakan pemerintah. Oleh karena itu, Polman secara tidak langsung telah melakukan transfer teknologi kepada perusahaan pengecoran logam di dalam klaster. Untuk itu, perlu dilakukan penelitian agar transfer teknologi berlangsung dengan sukses. Efektivitas transfer merupakan salah satu ukuran keberhasilan transfer teknologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor yang mempengaruhi transfer teknologi antara Polman dengan industri, sehingga diharapkan transfer teknologi antara Polman dengan industri akan berjalan sukses. Selain itu, juga diteliti pengaruh efektivitas transfer teknologi menurut pandangan industri terhadap kinerja UKM. Subyek penelitian adalah transfer teknologi yang dilakukan Polman dengan industri mitra. Efektivitas transfer teknologi dipengaruhi oleh lingkungan, motivasi, kemampuan belajar Transfer Teknologi dan kerjasama. Penelitian ini menggunakan Structural Equation Model sebagai tools yang berfungsi untuk menguji model dan menganalisa faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keberhasilan transfer teknologi. Namun, jumlah ukuran populasi yang digunakan pada penelitian ini kecil, sehingga digunakan metode PLS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, efektivitas transfer teknologi dipengaruhi oleh lingkungan, kerjasama dan kemampuan belajar transfer teknologi. Sementara itu, juga terdapat hubungan antara efektivitas transfer teknologi terhadap kinerja UKM.
