Abstract

Mesin las listrik merupakan mesin yang digunakan untuk menyambung atau memotong suatu benda kerja. Mesin las listrik secara prinsip terdiri dari beberapa komponen meliputi transformator, pendingin, pemegang elektroda, kabel las listrik kutub positif dan kabel listrik kutub negatif. Perbaikan mesin las dilakukan melalui beberapa tahapan meliputi proses serlak pada transformator, penambahan kipas pendingin, mengganti pemegang elektroda dan kabel las, serta melakukan pengecatan pada rangka box dan rangka luar. Perakitan mesin las listrik dimulai dari pemasangan transformator pada rangka box, dilanjutkan dengan pemasangan pengubah tegangan, kipas pendingin, kabel tenaga, klem massa, kabel las serta pemegang elektroda. Pada proses pengelasan harus memperhatikan ketebalan bahan yang akan dilas, jenis elektroda, dan besar kecilnya arus keluaran. Dalam pengujian beberapa tipe pengelasan pada plat besi dan pipa menunjukkan bahwa sambungan yang dihasilkan mesin las listrik ini sudah cukup memuaskan. Electric welding machine is a machine used to connect or cut a workpiece. Electric welding machine, in principle, consists of several components including transformers, cooling, electrode holder, welding cable electrical positive pole and negative pole of the power cord. Repair welding machine is done through several stages of the process include serlak on the transformer, the addition of a cooling fan, replacing the electrode holder and welding cable, and do the painting on the frame outside the box and frame. Assembly of electric welding machines starting from the installation of the transformer in order to box, followed by installation of a voltage converter, cooling fans, power cables, clamps mass, welding cable and electrode holder. In the welding process must consider the thickness of material to be welded, the type of electrode, and the size of the output current. In testing several types of welding on steel plate and pipe indicates that the connection generated electric welding machine is already quite satisfactory.
