HUBUNGAN USIA, LAMA PEMBERIAN KOSTIKOSTEROID, DAN LAMA MENDERITA PENYAKIT SINDROMA NEFROTIK DENGAN TINGGI BADAN PENDERITA SINDROMA NEFROTIK RESISTEN STEROID DAN RELAPS SERING

Abstract

Background: Growth disorder is one of nephrotic syndrome complications. In Indonesia, there is still no height standart for nephrotic syndrome patients. This study aims to evaluate relationship between age, length of corticosteroid therapy, and length of nephrotic syndrome disease with the height of patient with steroid resistant and relapsing nephrotic syndrome. Methods: This was an observational study by using cross-sectional design. The subject were recruited from pediatric patient with nephrotic syndrome in Dr.Kariadi General Hospital, Semarang, during 2011. Data were collected from patient’s medical record. Data were analized by using fisher test as an alternative test of chi-square test. Results: Growth disorders revealed in patients with steroid resistant and relapsing nephrotic syndrome (p = 0.000). There were no significan relationship between age, length of corticosteroid therapy, length of corticosteroid therapy with the height of patient with steroid resistant and relapsing nephrotic syndrome ( p for each variable were 0,428; 0,202; 0,202, respectively) Conclusion: Growth disorders revealed patients with steroid resistant and relapsing nephrotic syndrome. There are no significan relationship between age, length of corticosteroid therapy, length of corticosteroid therapy with the height of patient with steroid resistant and relapsing nephrotic syndrome.
