PERANCANGAN SISTEM INFORMASI PENILAIAN KINERJA PERPUSTAKAAN ”Studi Kasus di Ruang Baca Teknik Industri (RBTI)”

Abstract

ABSTRAK Perpustakaan sebagai institusi pengelola sumber informasi sudah seharusnya terjamah oleh penerapan teknologi informasi. Dua hal penting yang merupakan perhatian bagi perpustakaan modern dewasa ini adalah kepuasan pengguna dan pemanfaatan teknologi informasi untuk meningkatkan kinerja perpustakaan. Perpustakaan perlu terus menerus berusaha dan berbenah diri agar dapat dimanfaatkan semaksimal mungkin oleh penggunanya. Ruang Baca Teknik Industri atau RBTI adalah perpustakaan yang dimiliki oleh Program Studi Teknik Industri UNDIP. Saat ini RBTI berupaya untuk menerapkan sistem informasi yang berbasis web sehingga mampu melakukan koneksi pada jaringan intranet Program Studi Teknik Industri. Namun hingga saat ini, RBTI tidak memiliki koleksi perpustakaan digital baik berupa e-book. RBTI juga belum memiliki sistem pengukuran kinerja perpustakaan yang terintegrasi dengan sebuah sistem informasi sebagai salah satu sarana penunjang untuk peningkatan kualitas RBTI. Sistem ini diperlukan untuk mengetahui apakah kegiatan yang dilaksanakan di perpustakaan telah berjalan sesuai ketentuan yang telah ditetapkan pihak pengelola sebelumnya. Dari pokok masalah tersebut, penyusun memberikan usulan sebuah solusi untuk dibangun sebuah sistem informasi penilaian kinerja perpustakaan yang berbasis web. Kemudian setelah dilakukan perancangan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa disain sistem yang baru perlu untuk diaplikasikan.   ABSTRACT The Library as an institution which has function as an organizer of information, ought to be touched by the application of information technology which have been expanded very fast these day. On the present day there are two important matters which have become attention for modern library, that are customer satisfaction and the usage of information technology to improve the library’s performance. Continuity effort and improvement was needed by the library so the customer feel the benefit at its maximum. Ruang Baca Teknik Industri or RBTI is a library owned by Industrial Engineering Departement of UNDIP. In this time RBTI try to apply some information system being based on web to make a connection at Industrial Engineering Departement network using intranet network. But till in this time, RBTI don’t have any digital library collection such as e-book. It also not yet owned system measurement of library performance that being integrated with its information system as one of the tools to improve its quality . This system is needed to know is it all the activity in the library have walked according the rule which have been specified by its stakeholder previously. From the the main problems, the author provides suggestions for a solution to build an web-based information system assessment of library performance. Then, after the design, it can be concluded that the design of new systems need to be applied.
