Abstract

Background: The success of development can have a negative impact, whichls, more as a result of nutritional lifestyle changes such as diet. Modern diets less with physical activity will lead to more nutritional problems. Lately over nutrition in adolescents occurs mainly in big cities characterized by a relatively excessive weight gain when compared with adolescent age or height age, as a result of excessive accumulation of fat in fat tissues of the body. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to 1) knowe the pattern of eatingin teens who experienced more weight 2) know the physical activity adolescents who experienced more weight 3) know the relationship between diet and physical activity on over body weight in young adolescents more senior high school 4 Semarang. Methods: observational study with cross sectional approach. Subjects were 35 students of SMAN 4 Semarang. Data is collected by filling a questionnaire that has been tested and interview deeply. Data were analyzed with chi square test using SPSS version 17 for Windows with a value of p <0.05. Results: The results of the descriptive analysis of research data suggests that adolescent eating patterns are good tipe of physical activity, is light activity. The results of data analysis with chi-square showed that there is a relationship between diet and physical activity with overweight in adolescents senior high school 4 Semarang. Conclusion: The conclusion of this study is a good picture of adolescent eating patterns, whit the activity is in light activity category. Suggestions put forward are as a teacher to give guidance on diet and physical activity and over body weight more easily lead to degenerative diseases of adolescents at age adults.
