PENGARUH PEMBERIAN SIMUNOX TERHADAP JUMLAH LIMFOSIT T PERIFER PADA MANUSIA SEHAT

Abstract

Background : Simunox is a herbal produced by PT. Sido Muncul which have herbal’s components that have anti viral, anti bacteria, and anti fungal effect with regard to the effect above. Simunox may can stimulate immunity system, particularly the cellular immunity especially played by T lymphocyte. This study was aimed to investigate the effect of Simunox on immune responds of healthy individuals on the percentage peripheral T lymphocyte as a parameter. Method : This research was a true experimental study using the pre and post test controlled group design. The samples were 50 healthy individuals with age between 17 – 25 years old and BMI between 19 – 24 kg/m2 divided into two groups which were the control group (K) that had been given placebo, and the treatment group (P). The examination number of peripheral T lymphocyte was measured before and after treatment that had been given 15 ml Simunox twice a day for 7 day to observe effect between two groups above. Data was processed with SPSS for Windows 17.00. Result :Percentage of peripheral T lymphocyte of treatment group examined by Paired T- test, showed p=0,000 and δ number of peripheral T Lymphocyte in treatment and control group examined by Mann-Whitney test showed p=0,034 Conclusion : Simunox increase percentage of peripheral T lymphocyte of healthy individuals blood.
