DESKRIPSI HINTERLAND KARESIDENAN TEGAL ABAD XIX

Abstract

ABSTRACT The result of the writing shows us that during 19 century, hinterland of Tegal residency Tegal is very important. The Hinterland produced by Tegal residency such as sugar, coffee, tea, rice, indigo, and sooon. It was in connection with colonial policy to invest intensively in this sector. Economic exspansion hinterland area supplied the export commodity. Beside hinterland community knew the export and import commodity, they could sell their goods to the merchants in the city easily. Economic exspantion made dynamic community and diversification of efforts. So it was not focused on a certain agricultural sector. Of course, the government of Nederlands Indies got the biggest benefit from hinterland economic expansion. Key Words: Hinterland, ekonomi, commodity
