KONSEP BATAS WILAYAH NEGARA DI NUSANTARA: KAJIAN HISTORIS*

Abstract

Abstract The main objective of this article is to trace the emerging concept of state territory border in Indonesian archipelago (Nusantara). Since Indonesia is a maritime country, it is very reasonable to analysis the concept of state territory from ocean angle. For that reason, this article focuses on the development of the concept of territorial ocean border in Indonesia especially in the post independence period. By benefiting bibliographical sources as well as archival material, this article tries to show that the concept of state ocean terrotorial border in Indonesia was much develop compared to those of land territory.
