Abstract

In the era of globalization developments in the information technology more used in an industrial process. Delivery of data in an industrial process also has experienced growth due to the plant of a very complex system. The number of plant which is controlled in a system requires the presence of central monitoring and control of reliable data transmission in both speed and accuracy of data sent and received. By using TCP / IP, transmission access data more quickly and accurately and have a wide range of data transmission. In these industries, the fluid control system is one that is widely used process control. PID control is widely used as a control in industrial processes because of the simplicity of structure and ease of tuning control parameters. This final project purpose to make PID control application in a model of fluid control system. The system will control the height of level fluid in accordance setting point given by the operator. This final project using a potentiometer sensor as an indicator to set the level and the servo motor that serves as an actuator, a keypad as input devices, LCD viewer and a computer as a media server as an online control unit and the central monitoring system. From the experiment result, we can get a conclusion that the PID control systems can applied properly to control height of level fluid plant using the Ziegler Nichols tuning method. The results on tuning of PID control parameters are Kp = 30.15; Ti = 86; and Td = 21.5. At the testing of plant, got the result of tuning parameter PI capable to yield output response with rise time and steady time which quickly without overshoot, and when system given by disturbance, the output response will remain to be awaked in stability. Key words : TCP/IP, level control, PID control, sensor potentiometer.
