Abstract

RF (Radio Frequency) analysis on CDMA2000 1X is aimed to know the real field condition about communication service of CDMA2000 1X, especially the performance of RF. This discussion is significant since RF is the essence of CDMA itself. In other word, RF is a match between system main network and user. In order to see the real field condition of CDMA2000 1X, there must be a drive test. The drive test datum which is taken is the performance data of RF of CDMA2000 1X which covers: (1) Pilot Coverage; (2) Handoff; (3) EcIo; (4) RxPo; (5) TxPo; (6) FFER; and (7) TxGA. The drive test uses two softwares: (1) TEMS Investigation CDMA 2.4; and (2) HASP Emulator. Then, the drive test data are processed by using Actic Software Analyzer and saved in tab (.tab) form. In the analysis, it uses two main programs: (1) MapInfo Professional 7.0; and (2) Accounting simulation program by using C# 2010. The analysis result shows that the most drive test routes in this final project are in good condition. Still, there are some spots which are not in ideal condition. Spot 1, 2, and 3 get forward canal intervention. It is caused by Dmax (The Reach maximum Distance) which is misbalanced with the spreading pilot, and the low emission power (TxPo). However, it can be solved by reducing the Dmax value by the operator in each BTS cell and increasing TxPo value in each spot.
