Abstract
Telah dilakukan penelitian mengenai pengaruh pH dan penambahan H202 terhadap elektrodekolorisasi pewarna indigo. Penelitian dilakukan berdasarkan metode elektroflokulasi/elektrokoagulasi dengan memanfaatkan kemampuan Fe(OH)3 untuk mengadsorbsi indigo pada permukaannya, dimana Fe(OH)3 dihasilkan dari elektrolisis anoda besi dengan katoda karbon menggunakan potensial eksternal 3 volt selama 10 menit. Penelitian menunjukkan elektrodekolorisasi pewarna indigo dipengaruhi oleh pH larutan. Tanpa penambahan 14202, pada pH 2,10 dan 4,04 indigo dapat dihilangkan hingga 100% sedangkan pada pH diatas 4, persentase dekolorisasi semakin menurun. Kota bawl: indigo, H202, elektrodekolorisasi. The influence of pH and H202 addition on electrodecolorization process of indigo dye was investigated. The research using electroflocullation or electrocoagullation methode has been conducted by taking advantage of Fe(OH)3 ability in adsorbing indigo on its surface, where Fe(OH)3 produced from 10 minutes electrolysis of solution with iron anode and carbon cathode with potensial eksternal of 3 volt. Result show that this methode was influenced by pH of the solution. Indigo can be removed up to 100 % at pH 2,10 dan 4,04 (acid), while at base condition percentage of decolorization decreased.
