Abstract

Kata kunci: potensial terpasang, perak, tembagaElectrolysis of silver and copper solutions have been conducted to determined the influence of applied potential on the purify of deposited silver and copper. Electrolysis had been performed by steady solution concentrations, pH, and stirring rate and was conducted under silver and copper decomposition potential of 0.8 and 1.4 volt respectively. Silver deposition had been performed with applied potential of 0.8; 1.0; and 1.2 volt and copper one of 1.4; 1.6 and 1.8 volt. Experimental result showed that the purification of silver decreased with increasing applied potential and the current efficiency was 77,55 %. Purification of copper decreased with decreasing applied potential and thecurrent efficiency was48,80 % for copper. Keywords: applied potential, silver, copper
