Abstract
The study of coconut husk ash as adsorbent of heavy metal ion of Cd(I1) had been carried out. Base on FTIR analysed, coconut husk ash burned at 300GC until two hours have side active of -OH and -COON, and can be used to adsorp Cd(II) ion. Batch method was used to determining of Cd(II) heavy metal ion adsorption by coconut husk ash. Cd(II) concentration remaining in the effluent fraction were determined by atomic absorption spectrometer. Two parametres studied, pH and contact time. The research result showed that at pH of 5 and contact time of 90 minutes had highest adsorption capacity with Cd(11) adsorbed is 13,7 ing.e.
