Abstract
Phosphor can be determined quantitatively both using the methods of ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometry and atomic absorption spectrophotometry by indirect determination of magnesium. The research was tried to determine phosphor to compared the two methods, ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometry and atomic absorption spectrophotometry. By atomic absorption spectrophotometry phosphor was determined through determination of magnesium which was not precipitated by phosphor as MgNH4PO4.6H20. Ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometry method determined phosphoric by vanadomolybdophosphoric acid colorimetric method. The result of research showed that phosphoric determined by atomic absorption spectrophotometry was 294.31 ± 21.27 mg.I:3 at pH = 8. And by ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometry was undetectable. Both methods were tested statistically using t test method. It showed that at P = 95% there were a significant differences between result of two methods.
