Abstract

Telah dilakukan preparasi katalis dengan menggunakan logam paladium (Pd) sebagai logam aktif dan serium (Ce) sebagai promotor berpenyangga zeolit alam dari Wonosari. Preparasi zeolit dilakukan dengan perlakuan asarn, hidrotermal dan kal.sinasi sedangkan preparasi katalis menggunakan metode reimpreknasi basah dengan variasi konsentrasi serium dan tahapan penempatan logam, kemudian katalis dikalsinasi dan direduksi. Karakterisasi hasil menggunakan difraktometer sinar x (XRD) dan aktivitas katalis ditentukan dengan uji katalitik untuk mengubah gas CO menjadi CO2_ Disimpulkan bahwa modifikasi zeolit dapat mengubah komposisi dan meningkatkan kristalinitas zeolit alam. Spesi logam yang terbentuk dal= katalis adalah Ce203, Ce601 1, Pd°, PdO dan Pd02. M.etode preparasi katalis yang dianggap baik adalah dispersi Pd—Ce. Aktivitas optimal katalis dihasilkan oleh katalis 0,05Pd13Ceizeolit (K1) dengan kemampuan mengubah gas karbon rnonoksida (CO) sebesar 78,789 % pada suhu 700 °C. Preparation of catalyst by using palladium (Pd) as an active metal and serium (Ce) as a promotor supported by natural zeolite from Wonosari has been done. The zeolite was prepared by acid treatment, hydrotermal, and calcination while the catalyst was prepared by wet reimpregnation methods with Ce concentration and the step of impregnation variation, then calcinated and reducted. The characterisation of zeolite and catalyst did by x ray difractorneter and catalytic activity determinated by catalytic test to convert CO became CO2. It was concluded that zeolit modifycation changed composition and increased cristalinity of natural zeolite. Metal species that found in catalyst are Ce203, Ce6011, Hu, PdO and Pd02. The best dispertion methode to prepare catalyst is Pd-Ce dispertion. The Optimum catalytic activity of catalyst to convert carbon monoxide is 78,789 % at 700 °C given by 0,
