Abstract
Phospor determination both using the methods of gravimetry and atomic absorption spectrophotometry by indirrect determination of magnesium metal had been done. The research was tried to determine phospor by comparing the two methods. The gravimetric method was determined through MgNH4PO4.6H20 precipitation, and be fumaced to Mg2P207. Then the filtrate was analyzed with atomic absorption spectrophotometer. The research result showed that phospor in 1000 mg.1:1 phospate solution was 326.14 mg.1:1, and that phospor determined by gravimetric method was (327.816 ± 4.161) at pH = 8 by recovery of (100.51 ± 1.278) %. And by atomic absorption spektrophotometry was (332.312 ± 20.063) mg. L-1 by recovery of (101.89 ± 6.155) % respectively. Both methods were tested statistically using student t. It showed that for P = 0.05, both methods there were no significant differences.
