Abstract

The Family Health and Nutrition Sub Department as one of Sub Department at Buton District Health Office has many functions. The one of the function is to do Death Case Follow-Up. The one of to do Death Case Follow-Up is mother and baby death monitoring. The introductory study showed that in the activities of mother and baby death minitoring, it had not been done optimally. It was caused by needed information which was not relevancy, accuracy, and timeliness. Finally, causes of mother and baby death can not identify, so that decision making and planning is not precise. The aim of this research is to develop Information System of maternal and perinatal audit base on network for supporting of mother and baby death monitoring at Buton District Health Office. This is qualitative research. System development is based on the steps of Framework for the Application of System Techniques (FAST). The research design is one group pre and post test. The subjects of this research are the Head of District Health Office, Head of Sub Departments, Head of Family Health and Reproduction Section, and the Data Management Officer. The variables of the research are relevancy, accuracy, and timeliness. Data analysis uses content analysis method (analysis for the results of interviews) and descriptive analysis (Analysis for the results of the examining systems). The results of this research showed Information System, nowadays has not resulted the information relevancy, accuracy, and timeliness. Information System which is developed, could resulted the information relevancy, accuracy, timeliness and support for the decision making and planning. The result analysis showed considered average of relevancy criteria (old system = 2.20 and new system = 3.68), considered average of accuracy criteria (old system = 2.00 and new system = 3.71), and considered average of timeliness criteria (old system = 1.69 and new system = 3.63). The all results for the considered average of old system = 1.96 and new system = 3.67. Conclusion, new information system is more completed than old information system.
