Abstract

Temu lawak termasuk jenis empon empon yang sering digunakan sebagai bahan baku obat. Minyak atsiri merupakan salah satu kandungan kimia temu lawak yang diduga ikut memberi kontribusi pada khasiat temu lawak. Dalam rangka meneati aliernatif bahan baku obat yang berasal dari alam telah dilakukan penelitian tentang analisis komponen kimia dan uji aktivitas minyak atsiri dan rimpang temu lawak. Isolasi minyak dari rimpang temu lawak dilakukan dengan metode distilasi uap dan air. Minyak yang diperoleh ditentukan rendemen hasil dan tetapan ftsik. Analisis komponen dilakukan dengan alat kromatografi gas-spektroskopi massa (GC-MS). Uji aktivitas dilakukan terhadap ikan Guppy. Hasil penelitian diperoleh minyak yang berwarna kuning iernih dengan rendemen 1,279 %, berat jenis sebesar 0,9133 pada 27,5 °C, indek bias sebesar 1,5033 pada 26 °C dan putaran optik —9° 10'. Dati basil analisis GC-MS diketahui 10 senyawa penyusun minyak atsiri temu lawak, yang dapat teridentifikasi adalah Kan-ifen, Karafor, D-Farnesen, D-Bisabolen, oc-Kurkumin, dan a-Cedren_ Minyak atsiri temu lawak mempunyai hargaLC50 92,22 ppm._ Curcuma xanthorrhiza Roxb. is kind of species which used to medical raw material. The essential oil is one of chemical compounds in Curcuma xanthorrhiza Roxb., it is estimated has given contribution in Curcuma xanthorrhiza Roxb. virtue. In behind looked for choice natural medical raw material, the analysis of chemical compounds from essential oil of Curcuma xanthorrhiza Roxb. and its biological activity has been done. The isolation of essential oil is done by steam and water distillation, then the physical constanta like refractive index, density and optical rotation were definited. The analysis compound is done with gas chromatography-mass spectroscopy (GC-MS). The biologycal activity test is applied to Guppy fish. The result of the research is oil with the clear yellow colour and yield about 1.279 %, density 0.9133 at 27.5 'V, refractive index 1.5033 at 26 °C and optical rotation -9° 10'. The analysis compound with GC-MS is known 10 compounds which could be identificated are Camphen, Camphor, p-Famessen, p¬Bisabolen, ct-Curcumin, and or.,-Cedren. The essential oil of Curcuma xanthorrhiza Roxb. has value LC5n 92.22 ppm.
