Abstract

The research about preparation and characterization catalysts Cu-zeolites has been done. Activity natural zeolites were treated with 6 N HC1 at temperature 90 °C for 3 hours. The loading of metal into support has been investigated by wet impegnation method, that was immersion of zeolites support in precursor salt solution Cu 504.51120 ( 5% w/w). The purpose of this process was to disperse precursor salt molecules in the zeolites support through adsorption. Drying and calcination followed impregnation. Synthesis variables were time of impregnation and form support zeolites that effected to impregnation. Support weight, solution concentrations, driving and calcinating condition in this experiment were made constant. Characterization of catalysts used Atomic adsorbtion spectrofotometri ( AAS) and Spectroscopy Infra. Red (IR). The result AAS that showed composition Cu in M catalyst 0.66%; 5.9%; 4.67% for 5; 10; 15 hours impregnation and B catalyst 11.2%; 7.2% ;11.2% for 5; 10; 15 hours impregnation. Result spectrum IR of catalyst that adsorb hidrocarbon at temperature 28 °C than not yet, not formed new peaks, but at temperature 200 °C formed new peaks at 1370-1380 cm-1 and 1450 cm -1 from hidrocarbon alkyl.
