Abstract
Based on the previous study showed that most of achievement of Local Area Monitoring which was done by honorary midwife in 2004 and 2005, was below the target. Ten from fifteen honorary midwifes did not do their jobs properly in accordance with a guidance of a midwife at a villages. As result of in depth interview conducting to ten respondents showed that most of them was not satisfied with influencing factors of works satisfaction. Aim of this research was to know relationship among variables of a job, an incentive, a promotion, supervision, a colleague, and a work condition with work satisfaction of honorary midwife at a village in District of Kudus. This was an explanatory research using Cross-Sectional approach. Number of sample was 60 persons (as a total population of honorary midwife in District of Kudus). Collecting data used a questionnaire and guidance of Focus Group Discussion. Data was analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. Result of research shows that most of respondents are satisfied with their job (56,6%), good job (53,3%), sufficient incentive (63,3%), sufficient promotion (41,7%), lack of supervision (55,0%), moderate relationship with colleague (48,3%), and moderate work condition (58,3%). Factors that have a significant relationship work satisfaction of honorary midwife are job (p value = 0,025), incentive (p value = 0,003), promotion (p value = 0,012), supervision (p value = 0,006), and colleague (p value = 0,005).
