Abstract

In behalf the use and data collection of the potention plant of natural resources, was done exploration and identification of natural material of chemical compounds that were found in plants. As first step, compounds that were found in chloroform extract from tree bark of Artocarpus coomunis Forst had been isolated. The separation was done by vacum column chromatography and preparative thin layer chromatography with stationary phase of silica gel. The research was resulted three solid compounds, I, II and III. The result of MS IR and UV analysis and through chemotaxonomy approach, the structure compound I is cycloartenyl acetate was porposed. The structure of compounds II and III hadn't been determined. Nevertheless the result of IR spectroscopy analysis, they have ester fungsional group.
