Abstract
Pengembangan fungsi Rhizophora mucronata, sebagai pengabsorbsi timbal, akan sangat bermanfaat untuk menanggulangi pencemaran lingkungan sebagai akibat pembuangan limbah logam. Penentuan laju absorbsi logam Pb oleh Rhizophora mucronata telah dilakukan. Laju absorbsi ditentukan untuk memperkirakan kemampuan Rhizophora mucronata dalam mengabsorbsi logam Pb selama waktu tertentu dan untuk menunjukkan pentingnya hutan mangrove, khususnya Rhizophora mucronata, di daerah-daerah hulu yang berdekatan dengan daerah industri. Penentuan laju absorbsi dilakukan dengan memvariasikan konsentrasi Pb dalam lumpur senilai 5 ppm, 10 ppm, 15 ppm serta dengan selang waktu 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 hari. Dengan menggunakan model Bioakumulasi maka akan diperoleh laju absorbsi ion Pb2 oleh Rhizophora mucronata pada berbagai variasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa besarnya absorbsi sebanding dengan konsentrasi Pb di lumpur serta selang waktu absorbsi. Faktor faktor lain seperti teniperatur (suhu) dan pH yang dapat mempengaruhi laju absorbsi dikonstankan. Dari basil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa Rhizophora mucronata dapat mengurangi beban pencemaran • logam timbal di lingkungan perairan pantai. Progressing Rhizophora mucronata function as waste absorbed very usefull to overcome environmental polution as a consequent of liberation of metallic waste to environment from industrial processes. Determination of absorption rate of lead metal by Rhizophora mucronata was investigated. The absorption rate used to estimate ability of Rhizophora mucronata. To absorp lead metal within certain interval time and to show the role of mangrove forest especially Rhizophora muoronate in industrial areas. Determination of absorption rate was carried out as a function of concentration in soil of 5 ppm; 10 ppm, 15 ppm with time intervals 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 days. Using Bioaccumulation models, we will obtained absorption rate of lead ion (Pb2+) by Rhizophora mucronata within various conditions. Result of investigation show the amount of absorption related with lead concentration and time intervals of absorption. Others factors like temperature and pH which can affect the absorption rate was held constant. From these investigation results, we could conclude that Ri2izophora mucronata can used to overcome burden at wasted lead metal in beach environmental areas.
