Abstract

Telah dilakukan analisis penentuan kandungan zat besi (Fe) dan kalsium (Ca) dalam daun bayam,/ dengan metode Spektroskopi Serapan Atom (SSA). Metode ini sangat selektif dan akurat untuk analisis unsur-unsur kelumit dalam bahan organik. Satu gr sampel bayam didestruksi dengan pemanasan pada suhu 4500 C selama 5 jam sampai menjadi abu. Cuplikan abu dilarutkan dengan 5 ml HNO3 pekat, kemudian ditambah dengan aquabides sampai 100 ml sebagai larutan Untuk menentukan konsentrasi Fe dan Ca dalam cuplikan, maka dart larutan cuplikan tersebut diinieksikan pada alat Spektrometer Serapan Atom. Hasil analisis menunjukkan dalam 100 gr bayam mengandung 5,5 mg Fe dan 575,6 mg Ca. Dengan adanya variasi lama waktu pemasakan akan mengurangi kandungan Fe dan Ca dalam bayam. The iron and calsium concentrations in Amaranthus had been measured with Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS) method.- This method is selective and accurate for analysis elements in organic sample. One gr of accurate weight of sample was destructed by dry destruction at temperature 450° C for five hours. The sample dissolved of 5 ml of HNO3 and diluted to 100 ml as sample solution. For analysis consentration of iron and calsium in sample solution, the sample solution was injected at Atomic Absorption Spectrometer. The result of analysis showed that 100 gr Amaranth/is contained iron and calsium accounted for 5,5 mg and 575,6 mg respectively. Therefore various time of heating made the content of iron and calsiu
