Abstract
Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang perubahan diameter frinji sebagai akibat dari degradasi indeks bias yang diakibatkan oleh pemanasan dengan menggunakan interferometer Michelson. Pengamatan ini dilakukan sebelum dan sesudah pemanasan pada temperatur 32°C. Diameter frinji yang dihasilkan langsung direkani dengan kamera agar setiap perubahannya dapat diketahui. Data yang diperoleh diolah secara komputasi menggunakan program Mathlab. Dan hasil penelitian didapatkan nilai indeks bias air (n) pada temperatur 27°C adalah 1,33856 dan nilai molar refraktivitasnya (A) adalah 3,13207x10-6 m3.mor1 . Pada permukaan air yang bertemperatur 32°C, rc=1,25424 dan A=2,69314x10-6 m3.mo1"1. Hasil penelitian menunjulckan bahwa adanya pemanasan pada air mengakibatkan indeks bias air semakin kecil, sehingga menyebabkan diameter frinji yang dihasilkan semakin kecil pula. The research of fringe diameter alteration that consequences from the refraction index degradation cause by heating has been done by Michelson interferometer. This research was carried out before and after heating at the temperature of 32°C. The fringe diameters that get it record immediately with camera in order that its every alteration can be known. From the data that get, it processed by computation with the Mathlab program. From the result of research gets the value of the water refraction index (n) at 27°C is 1.33856 and the molar of refractivity is 3.13207x10 m3.mo1-1. At the surface of water with 32°C, it get n=1.25424 and A-2.69314x10 m3.mo1-1. The result showed that the heating of water caused the water refraction index became small, so that the fringe diameter became small too.
