Abstract

Two testing tools have been designed, i.e., beam alignment test tool and collimator test tool, all made from relatively inexpensive and easy to obtained material. The first tool has the shape of bar made from acrylic plastic with dimension of 15,8 cm x 5 cm, and the second tool has the shape of plate made from brass with dimension of 18 cm x 24 cm. Statistically, the performance of both designed testing tools then was compared to the standard tool. The designed testing tools and the standard tool were treated with the same condition on eleven Roentgen devices which were used by the selected hospitals. Statistically testing results showed that there were no significant difference of outcomes between the designed testing tools and the standard tool. Thus, these designed testing tools can be used as alternative tools of the standard tool.
