Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian untuk identifikasi dan pengukuran aktivitas radionuklida primordial pada sedimen lumpur di Sungai Banjir Kanal Barat Semarang dengan metoda spektrometri-y (Spektrometer-y Sistem Penekan Compton). Cuplikan sedimen diambil di Sungai Banjir Kanal Barat pada 9 lokasi pengamatan. Hasil analisis kualitatit radionuklida penyumbang paparan radiasi-y yang teridentifikasi dalam cuplikan sedimen lumpur Sungai Banjir Kanal Barat berasal dari radiasi slam (radionuklidaprimordial} yaitu deret Uranium (Ra 226, Pb214, I deret Thorium pb212, 8, rium u Bi212) dan K40 Hasil analisis kuantitatif radionuklida menunjukkan bahwa penyumbang radiasi-y terbesar berasal dari radionuklida Pb212 (238,6 keV) dari deret Th232 sebesar 636,85-741,34 Bq/kg dan K4° (1460,7 keV) sebesar 299,21-424,08 Bq/kg. It has been done a reseach to identify and to measure the activity of primordial radionuclide in the Banjir Kanal Barat river mud sediment by y spektrometry method (y-ray Spectrometer of Compton Supressi System). Sediment sample was taken in Banjir Komi Barat river at 9 observation areas. The result of radionuclide qualitative analysis, the contributor of y radiation identified in mud sediment sample from natural radiation (primordial radionuclide). They are Uranium series (Rai 6, Pb214, 1 ) Thorium series (Ac228, Pb232, n208, B i212) and K4o The result of radionuclide quantitative analysis show the most contributor of y radiation are Pb212 (238,6 keV) from Th232 series with value 636,85-741,34 Bq/kg and K4° (1460,7 keV) with value 299,21-424,08 Bq/kg.
