Abstract
Hasilnya menuniukkan bahwa kecepatan rata—rata partikel fluida yang dihitung dengan metoda visualisasi optik ( V ) adalah sebanding dengan kecepatan rata—rata fluida yang dihitung dengan sistem debit aliran ( VL ), sehingga dapat dinyatakan dengan persamaan VQ = ( 2 x VL) 4- 0.02 m/s. Sementara itu, koefisien total atenuasi sinar laser ( E ) sebanding dengan viscositas dan kecepatan aliran zat cairnya. It has been determined that the characteristic of fluid flow in the pipe with respect to attenuation of laser beam. The characteristic determination of fluid flow has relation with velocity measurement and viscosity of fluid. A velocity measurement of fluid flow has been conducted by using the optic visualization method and discharge rate system for standard of comparison. The result showed that the average velocity of fluid particles determined by the optic visualization method ( V) is proportional to average velocity of fluid flow determined by discharge rate system ( and it is expressed as VQ = ( 2 x VL ) 4- 0.02 m/s. At the same time, the total attenuation coefficient of laser beam ( E p ) is proportional to viscosity and velocity of fluid flow.
