Abstract

Telah dibuat dan diteliti detektor Geiger Muller tegang¬an rendah serta seperangkat sistem penampilnya_ Detektor yang dibuat merupakan tipe jendela samping dengan gas isian Neon bertekanan 200 mmHg, Argon 0,2 mmHg, dan Bromine 0,16 mmHg_ Anoda terbuat dari tungsten diameter 0,25 mm, katoda dari pipa stainless steel diameter 17,7 mm dan panjang 150 rum. Sistem penampil terdiri dari rangkaian osilator, pelipat tegangan empat tingkat, penampil bunyi/cahaya, serta sumber daya berupa baterai sebesar g volt. Dari hasil pengujian detektor diperoleh bahwa tegangan ambang 350 volt, panjang plato 350 volt, slope 4,896 % per 100 volt dan efisiensi 0,25 % terhadap sinar r. Tegangan keluaran yang dihasilkan menca¬pai 900 volt. Jika ada radiasi sinar r, maka akan timbul isyarat bunyi dan cahaya pada rangkaian penampil. The low voltage Geiger Muller detector and its appearance operating system has been made and observed. It has a side window detector with filled gas Neon, Argon, Bromine and their pressure ratio are 200 mmHg : 0,2 :mmHg 0,16 mmHg. The anode made of tungsten with diameter 0,25 mm and the cathode made of stainless steel with diameter 17,7 mm, length 150 mm. The appearance operating system consist of oscillator, voltage multiplier, sound/light indicator circuit, and all circuits are operated 9 volt Vatterry. The result of this detector show that the threshold voltage, plateau, slope and its efficiency of gamma ray are 350 volt, 350 volt, 4,896 %/100 volt, and 0,25 % respectively. The output voltage reach 900 volt. If gamma ray hit a detector, thus the sound and light will appear from circuit_
