Abstract

It has been evaluated, a well "X" at Sumatra by mean measuring the physical properties of rocks surrounding it.The well is a wildcat well, so this evaluation still need the next evaluations those are more advance, and it has to be correlated with the nearby wells. The measuring was run by wireline logging, Determination of hidrocarbon reserves is only in situ reserves, because there were no satisfied data to determine surface reserves (stock tank barrel). And in this evaluation, it can not be calculated the volume of each oil and gas, because this calculation needs the value of gas-oil ratio (GOR). The value of drainage area is get from seismic interpretation. The well shows to the amount of hydrocarbon (oil and gas) with the average of water saturation is high enough. The total static reserve is 459 acre-ft (3560922 barrel). And generally, the lithology of the formations is clean sands which is contains 0 to 8% of clay. The clay is illite [ K Al (Si ,A1 )0 (OH) 1. i-s. 4 7-6. 5 ' 1-1. 5 ' 20 4 Telah dievaluasi sebuah sumur "X" di lapangan Sumatra dengan mengukur sifat-sifat fisika batuan di sekitar nya. Status sumur adalah wildcat, sehingga evaluasi ini masih memerlukan evaluasi lanjutan dengan melakukan korelasi terhadap sumur-sumur di sekitarnya. Pengukuran dilakukan dengan metode wireline logging. Frakiraan cadangan hidrokarbon baru merupakan cadangan in situ, karena belum tersedianya data untuk penentuan cadangan permukaan. Dan pada evaluasi ini tidak dibedakan antara hidrokarbon jenis minyak atau gas. Luas daerah pengurasan diperoleh dari evaluasi data seismik. Sumur "X" menunjukkan sejumlah hidrokarbon dengan rata-rata kejenuhan air yang tinggi. Jumlah cadangan adalah 459 acre-ft (3560922 barely. Dan secara umum litologi dari reservoarnya adalah pasir yang bersih dengan kandungan lempung/serpih antara 0 - 8%.
